Following on from the well received May’s committee meeting notes, please see below for items that were discussed at June’s meeting:
Steve Hill of West Country Carpers attended the meeting, presenting the idea to the committee of holding an open day in support of the club’s fund raising towards protection against predation.
The proposal is to hold an open day at one of the club’s waters, with various stalls and fishing related activities which include: Spodding tutorials, Bivvy areas with professional coaching for kids, Guest speakers, BBQ etc.
Dates and logistics of the event are being discussed between the relevant parties, As soon as we have confirmed details we will advise of all the details.
It has been reported to the club that the Pay and display machine located at Neigh bridge has been reported as being stolen on the 27th May. We understand this is being replaced however don’t have any confirmed dates to when this is likely to be.
As a reminder to all club members, you must park within the designated parking area and display your club parking badge at all times.
An incident at Neigh bridge was reported to us which involved three motorbikes riding round the lake putting members and other users of the park at risk. The incident was reported to the Gloucestershire police. We have a crime reference number, so if there are any further incidents please report to a member of the bailiff team so we can report to the relevant team.
Our head bailiff has reported finding cans at Large Lake that had been used as targets for air refiles. This has been reported to the trust and other users at the complex. Could we please ask members to keep an eye out for any unwelcome activities at club waters.
There are reports of a fallen tree across the footpath on Cokes Pit. Where this doesn’t currently block the path, it could be a potential problem if it should come down. The club has informed Cotswold Water Park Trust for it to be removed.
